Sumter School District Title I works to serve students, families, and schools to provide high-quality programs that improve teaching and learning. All sponsored programs share a common goal of offering students an education that affords them the opportunity to move on to college, the military, or directly into a meaningful career.

Engaged parents and family members give students the support they need to be successful. Research on family engagement suggests that when schools, families, and communities support each other, students of all backgrounds and ability levels achieve at the highest levels.
